Our speaker is Pavel Telicka, a Czech politician with more than 20 years of experience in EU affairs. Mr Telicka will share his insights on the Brussels bureaucracy and his experience in connecting EU policy making to national politics. He has had many roles within the European decision making process, including as a national representative, a European Commissioner and a private consultant. Consequently, he is in a great position to offer an informed perspective on where the real influence and power in the European Union lies. He will also talk about recent developments in the EU, from his point of view as a candidate for this year’s European Parliament elections and as one of the candidates for the new Czech EU Commissioner for 2014 – 2019.
