Description

This presentation will draw from the author’s recent book, In Place of Inter-State Retaliation: The European Union’s Rejection of WTO-Style Trade Sanctions and Trade Remedies. It will explore how the EU’s legal system, and in particular through the European Court of Justice, has evolved without the use of trade sanctions and remedies between the Member States – tools which are central components of other international trade systems, such as the WTO.

This event is co-organised with the Edinburgh Europa Institute
